Build all the ingredients over rock ice in a glass and stir to chill and mix. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
Lime sherbet recipe: grate zest of 15 lemons and add to 200g of castor sugar. Muddle together and then add 600ml of lime juice. Heat if needed to dissolve the sugar and then strain.

During the reign of William III, a garden fountain was once used as a giant punch bowl. The recipe included 560 gallons of brandy, 1200 pounds of sugar, 25,000 lemons, 20 gallons of lime juice and five pounds of nutmeg.
