Plymouth Gin and Tonic Cocktail Recipe
  • 60ml/ 2 parts Plymouth Gin
  • 90ml/ 3 parts tonic water
  • Lemon or lime slice to garnish

Build in a long glass filled with cubed ice and stir. You can, if you wish, garnish with a slice of lemon or lime.
To add another dimension, we have experimented with Angostura, Peychaud and Orange bitters. If you have one of these why not try adding a dash?

Tonic was originally created as an anti-malaria concoction in colonial India. Quinine was added to carbonated water to give Indian Tonic and mixed with gin to make it more appealing - it worked, and the British Empire took it up with great zeal.
