Put all the ingredients in a shaker and muddle gently. Then shake with rock ice and pour over ice in a glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint, fresh raspberries and a wedge of lemon.
These quantities serve 2 but can be easily increased for larger groups
Lemon sherbet recipe: grate the zest of 12 lemons and add 200g of caster sugar. Muddle together and then add 600ml of lemon juice. Heat if needed to dissolve the sugar and then strain. .

Maraschino liqueur is a clear liqueur with a neutral spirit base, flavoured with crushed Dalmatian (no not the spotty dogs) Marasca cherries including the pips, stems and seeds. The addition of the pips gives it a slight bittersweet flavour.
