Frozen Cocktails Recipes and Information

Frozen Cocktails are synonymous with summer mixed drinks. Summer Cocktails can be quite refreshing. Sipping on a nice frozen daiquiri or kicking back with a creamy Pina Colada by the side of the pool is a great way to enjoy the summer. The most popular alcoholic cocktails in the Frozen cocktails category are the Daiquiri, Margarita, and the Pina Colada. Of course you can flavor any of these with added puree. Strawberry, mango, peach, banana, and more. Really any flavor you can think of will transform one of these drinks into your own creation. Adding puree to a frozen drink can make it a very fruity cocktails recipe. Liqueurs can also be added to change the complexion of a drink. Kahlua, Grand marnier, Bailey's Irish Cream, Creme de Banana, just to name a few.

When making a frozen / blended cocktail it is very important to have a decent blender, an old dull bladed blender will not do a good job on the ice and leave chunks of ice cubes in your finished cocktail. Another problem people seem to have with blenders in that they may use to much ice and not enough liquid. If the mixture in the blender is too thick with ice then it wont circulate throug the blender.there fore not blending the ingredients together. Once you work this part out you can next work on getting the perect consistancy of the slush. This depends more on how you like it. I like mine really slushy so that it's more drinkable.
